Mike Spagnola, Founder of Outwork Fitness
Hey guys, i’m Mike. This’ll be one of the only places i’ll talk about myself, because Outwork Fitness isn’t about me. It’s about you. I just want you to know a little about the man behind the best gym and personal training team in McHenry County, and probably the world. I help people by instilling belief, motivating, and encouraging them to find the strongest, healthiest, and happiest version of themselves. I know it looks like i’m a jock-y, bro, meathead that lives in a gym, but nothing could be further from the truth. Well, I am kind of a bro, but a nice one, you know?
I never stuck to playing sports growing up. Like I said, I look like a meathead, but I didn’t always, and I’m not super athletic (I leave the athleticism to my little brother) I tried, but liked the gym more than the sport. I also like eating, so I massively struggled with staying in shape. Being I was also hardly 5’2” and over 200lbs when I started high school. It was then that I realized two things: I wanted to be 6’0” tall and 225lbs of jacked. Sorta like the Rock, but with less money.
Well, I didn’t get to either of those things, because i’m only 5’8” and 225 and only sort of jacked. But, what I found along the way is the keys to live a stronger, happier, and healthier life, and now it’s my mission to share this methodology with as many people as possible. Fitness is more than just losing a few pounds; it is a path to wellness and a high quality of life. Our country is plagued with “sick care” disguised and dressed up as healthcare. As fitness professionals, we are the first line of defense in the battle for health. Let us take the guesswork out of this fitness game.
